Monthend helps construction firms across America with a variety of accounting and finance needs. We are growing very fast, making this an opportunity to be part of something awesome.
We are looking for an energetic Accounting Analyst to support and expand our cloud-based small business advisory and technology implementation practice focusing on the technology and accounting needs of builders, remodelers, and commercial contractors. You will start as an analyst and learn what it takes to grow into a small business consultant.
This is a full-time position.
In this position, you will:
- Work with the Monthend team to manage day to day transactions for our clients using Quickbooks Online, Buildertrend, and a variety of other construction management and software tools
- Process customer source documents (paperless) by reviewing data for deficiencies - - this feels like data entry but with additional problem solving and thought
- Resolve deficiencies by using standard procedures or by communicating with the client for resolution
- Enter and create financial records and transactions and validate accuracy of records across multiple platforms
- Support Associates and Managers in a variety of tasks
- Generate reports for clients and Monthend management
Requirements
- Must be competent and efficient with technology. We will train you on the basics of the software we use, but you must have the foundational navigational skills that are universal across most software applications.
- Willingness to learn. We are constantly changing and you need to learn and adapt.
- Be willing to solve problems on your own, but also eager to ask questions to make sure you 'get it right’. We value accuracy over speed.
- Completion of a 2 year degree in business or related/similar field OR 4 year degree in any subject.
- Must submit to a background check confidentially processed by a third party.
