HCAM, a Lansing-based trade association, is hiring a Vice President of Regulatory, Quality, and Clinical Services. Extensive knowledge and experience with federal and state oversight of skilled nursing facilities is required.
Responsibilities include:
- Engage with members and other stakeholders on regulatory and quality issues impacting skilled nursing facilities.
- Assist members with survey and enforcement situations, monitor and engage on federal and state regulatory policy, as appropriate, and serve on various workgroups formed by state government and other interested organizations.
- Monitor survey statistics and enforcement for trends and patterns for Michigan and CMS Region V states.
- Assist members with interpreting and implementing new information and regulations.
- Respond to inquiries pertaining to federal and state licensing and certification compliance issues, and the federal and state survey and enforcement process.
- Prepare articles, testimony, and memorandums on a variety of issues to share with membership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a health, public administration or related field is required.
- A degree in nursing and/or a licensed nursing home administrator is preferred.
- At least five years of experience working in the skilled nursing profession with a strong understanding of federal and state legislative and political process, and relationship with federal and state agency personnel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
