We are Berkshire Place Nursing and Rehabilitation Center located in Providence, RI and we are looking for the best and brightest to help us change long term care. We are looking for a full-time RN to join our team as our 11-7 RN Supervisor.
Positions Summary:
Assists the administrator in the implementation and attainment of nursing department goals and objectives. Responsible for the supervision and administration of the total nursing service program in evening. The 11-7 RN Supervisor directs the operation and staff by delivery of nursing care and service while adhering to all federal, state and local regulatory requirements. Coordinate programs and services under the direction and consultation of the administrator and medical director.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists the administrator in the development of short and long term goals and objectives in collaboration with other direct care departments.
Establishes and implements action plans to ensure the attainment of the department’s goals and objectives.
Effectively collaborates with the medical staff and all departments in planning for the total needs of residents and effective team functioning via assigned committees.
Ensures compliance with applicable State and Federal standards and regulations for long-term care by anticipating the agency surveyors’ interpretations of regulations, initiating action plans to correct deficiencies in advance of the annual inspections by the RI Dept of Health.
Ensures that individual care plans are instituted and updated according to regulatory requirements.
Develops work assignments and schedules to ensure staffing levels are adequate to provide a high level of care.
Maintains and promotes high standards of professional nursing and long-term care in accordance with ANA, DOH, OSHA and CMS standards of nursing care.
Implements appropriate action to eliminate, correct, or reduce identified problems regarding nursing care operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Covid Vaccinated
· Holds a current nursing license in the state of Virginia.
· Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
· Three years experience in management preferred working in long term care.
· A comprehensive knowledge of nursing practices and procedures; administration of medications and possible side effects; knowledge of federal and state regulations relating to resident care and rights.
