This position is a 19 hour per week and does not include benefits.
This is a part-time position responsible for performing skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the care and maintenance of buildings, facilities and grounds.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and Experience:
General lawn/plant care, maintenance and custodial experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge of:

Basic plant husbandry techniques.

Proper cleaning methods and the safe usage of cleaning materials, disinfectants, custodial tools and equipment.

Use and minor maintenance of hand and power tools and equipment.

Safety practices and equipment related to the work.

Basic shop mathematics.

Basic record keeping practices.

Basic techniques for dealing with the public.

Basic painting, plumbing, concrete and carpentry methods, tools and techniques.
Skill in:

Safely drive County motor vehicle to specified work sites for completion of tasks.

Using and performing basic maintenance on various hand and power tools and equipment.

Safely using hand tools and power equipment related to the work.

Understanding and following written and oral instructions.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:

Current Driver's License.

May require CPR and First Aid certification within six (6) months of date of employment.

OSHA 10 certification within six (6) months of date of employment.
