Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Lean Manufacturing Engineer role is critical to our futures success, to provide Manufacturing Engineering support and trouble shooting for current facility operations at our Illinois facility.
- This role will analyze and implement production build improvement initiatives, product engineering changes, Lean Manufacturing improvements, personnel balances, and all special projects.
- Investigate, gather, and analyze data for identifying root cause and implement solutions for manufacturing issues.
- Innovate and implement cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas for manufacturing operations.
- Lead implementation of all new manufacturing processes and technologies.
- Plan and establish manufacturing techniques, processes, and methods for the production of new or modified products or parts, plans equipment utilization and justifications, product cost-estimating, manufacturing routings, conducts work measurements and establishes production standards, and improves material flow, methods, and workplace layouts.
- Lead cycle time and productivity improvement activities.
- Lead Kaizen and 5S events.
- Error Proofing

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelors Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
- Lean Manufacturing experience preferred
- Strong leadership, problem solving (including root cause analysis), project management, presentation, and facilitation skills
- Problem solving Knowledge. 8D, Root Cause Analysis, etc.
