Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
1. Provide and promote safe and effective activities that are in accordance with programming goals.
2. Plan, develop, implement, and review program services.
3. Maintain strong and consistent lines of communication with school staff and administration.
4. Supervise, assist, and provide ongoing support and training in the delivery of program services and planning.
5. Schedule staff meetings and document thorough meeting minutes.
6. Maintain strong communication and facilitate discussions with the student, family, and other service providers in order to effectively address the concerns and needs of the child as well as identifying the strengths of the child and family.
7. Show understanding of the program’s performance targets and use all viable methods available for their achievement.
8. Advocate for the child and family when necessary to increase familial cohesion and decrease family strife.
9. Adhere to NYS Mandated Reporter policies regarding child abuse and neglect; including compliance to all state rules
and reporting requirements, and report any such information to the Executive Director immediately.
10. Schedule community based organizations’ presentations as outlined in the program contract.
11. Complete and submit time sheets, student reports, monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports for the program in an
accurate and timely manner.
12. Utilize the Executive Director as a consultant when circumstances/situations arise and require further assistance.
13. Assess and evaluate the program in cooperation with program staff, students, school administration and families.
14. Complete a written, formal evaluation of each program staff’s job performance after their ninety day orientation
period and annual thereafter, in a timely manner.
15. Responsible for accurately reviewing and approving times sheets, mileage reimbursement and other required staff documentation.
16. Responsible for assuring all staff are properly trained in the Justice Center, Compliance, DSRIP and other mandatory subjects on regular basis.
17. Submit weekly schedule in Administration office with revisions completed as needed and notification to the
Executive Director of these changes.
18. Adhere to OCFS child day care regulations.
19. Follow NYS SACC licensure guidelines and assist in re-licensure procedures.
20. Responsible for ensuring the CACFP regulations are met.
21. Attend school staff and PTO meetings, AASP meetings, and MHA meetings as required.
22. Participate in agency events.
23. Follow all NYS vehicle and traffic laws while on duty.
24. Attend trainings that promote professional development and programmatic enhancement, including the annual AASP Staff Development Day.
25. Attend community meetings as identified by supervisor.
26. Other duties as assigned.
