GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Residential Aide develops meaningful and trusting relationships with clients. The Residential Aide coordinates client’s access to support resources in order maximize their potential and aid in their independence for their reintegration in the community.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists with escorting clients to support service appointments
● Assists Case Managers, Client Care Coordinators, Housing Specialists and the Director of Social Services
● Assists Case Managers, Client Care Coordinators, Housing Specialists, Social Services Director, and other facility personnel as requested
● Inspects rooms for cleanliness before clients enter the facility
● Assists with scanning client files into the Network Attached Storage (NAS) upon client’s departing from shelter
● Must bag and tag clients’ belongings when left behind or assist if client is physically handicapped and requires assistance
● Completes nightly census to account for client presence
● Assists with kitchen duties by distributing 3 meals per day for clients (breakfast, lunch, and dinner)
● Assists with inventory of food pantry and organizes pantry
● Assists with maintenance duties- light housekeeping, sweeping, dusting, and disinfecting kitchen, pantry, and cafeteria
● Conducts facility tours to ensure safety precautions are taken place
● Maintains the cleanliness and maintenance of the kitchen and equipment
● Signs residents in and out of the facility according to curfew restrictions
● Responsible for answering the phone, relaying calls, and taking messages
● Responsible for mail distribution
● Perform daily wellness checks of residents with a crib age child and or any active ACS/preventive services
● Assists the security team with daily operations
● Performs daily pack ups and logging of the client’s belongings
● Stores and removes resident property from storage area
● Escorts social services staff to conduct weekly unit inspections
● In the event of an emergency, Essential Personnel are required to report to work as scheduled
● Duties and responsibilities are subject to change based upon assessment of company needs
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
● High School diploma or equivalent required
● Experience with behavioral health services preferred
● Must be able to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing)
● Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a part of a team
● Must be organized and technologically savvy
● Bilingual English/Spanish is also preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $38,000.00 per year
