Duties:
- Develop and implement engaging and interactive lesson plans that align with the curriculum
- Provide instruction to elementary school students in various subjects, including math, science, language arts, and social studies
- Utilize early intervention strategies to identify and address learning difficulties or challenges
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and participation
- Incorporate learning technology and resources to enhance student learning experiences
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement individualized education plans for students with special needs
- Foster a love of reading and literacy by providing library services and promoting a culture of reading
- Provide guidance and mentorship to students, offering support and encouragement in their academic and personal growth
- Monitor student progress, assess learning outcomes, and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification or license
- Proven experience in curriculum development and lesson planning
- Knowledge of early intervention strategies and special education practices
- Strong mentoring and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues
- Proficient in learning technology tools and resources for educational purposes
- Excellent proofreading skills for reviewing student work and providing constructive feedback
- Ability to create a supportive learning environment that meets the diverse needs of students
- Experience or training in literacy education is highly desirable
- Previous tutoring experience is a plus
