Hope Speech and Language Therapy is looking to partner with dedicated, entrepreneurial, and motivated occupational therapists to join our growing team. In this role you not only serve the greater needs of our clients but also help lead program design and expansion efforts. Flexibility is key- many times we’re required to see clients within the first 48 hours of notification. This is a dynamic and challenging role that needs a leader, a doer and a teacher for success. Hope Speech and Language Therapy is a rapidly growing speech and language, occupational, and feeding therapy clinic that provides both in-home and clinic based treatment to pediatric and adult clients in a warm setting. We serve the Inland Empire and Northern San Diego County and are expanding to reach San Bernadino, easternmost points of Riverside County, Oceanside, and Irvine, California. Our therapies include equipping the caretaker with the confidence and tools needed to provide the best care for their loved one. We work with other members of a patient’s health care team like physicians, home health agencies, and other therapists to craft a comprehensive plan of care to ensure the highest quality of service is delivered.
Primary Duties
- Evaluate the functional ability of patients through the administration, interpretation of standardized tests, clinical observation and patient/family interview.
- Create individualized treatment and educational plans and provide patient/family counseling and training.
- Provide service within the scope of practice, in accordance with the plan of care, and in coordination with other caretakers tending to the patient.
- Develop and implement innovative and specific treatment plans to maximize the patient's functional potential or return to previous level of functioning, based on clinical findings.
- Consult with medical team and allied health professionals and document all pertinent clinical findings to render a comprehensive, family-based or individual intervention plan.
- Submit documentation which meet license requirements at state and national level.
- Visit patients according to the Plan of Treatment, complete a progress note each visit, and submit progress notes to the required agency.
- Safeguard confidentiality of patient records.
- Participate in patient conferences and committees as necessary.
- Complete records for third party reimbursement accurately and in a timely manner as appropriate
- Adhere to established rules, regulations, laws and appropriate ethical standards
- Guard against conflicts of professional interest
- Demonstrate knowledge of federal, state and local rules, regulations and laws
- Comply with established lines of authority within the parameters of professional standards

Education and Experience
- Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an AOTA accredited program or Bachelor's Degree if graduated prior to 2004
- Current California license in Occupational Therapy, or eligible if new graduate or licensed in another state
- Current NBCOT
- Current BLS/CPR certification issued by American Heart Association
- Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle.
- Current CPR certification required.

- Three years of practical experience
- Clinical doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy (OTD)

Pay: $88,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
