Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or fees
- Maintain patient records and ensure they are accurate and up-to-date
- Assist with medical record management, including filing, scanning, and organizing documents
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist or medical receptionist preferred
- Familiarity with dental scheduling systems such as Oryx
- Proficient in using phone systems and handling multiple phone lines
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy requirements
