Summary
Field Service Engineer will support semiconductor equipment installation and maintenance at customer site. This position will be responsible for installation, preventative and unscheduled maintenance, and day to day running of a 300mm high pressure annealing furnace system at customer facility. The positions duties entail maintaining the complete system including the following sub systems; electronic, electrical, electro-magnetic, mechanical, pneumatic, vacuum, heating systems, gas delivery, 300mm factory automation, and wafer transfer systems. Additional responsibilities include completing field service documentation, which is utilized for tracking system reliability and customer billing. Good customer interface and communication skills are necessary for this position.
Duties and Reporting Structure:
Position will report to customers manufacturing facility daily. This will be a normally scheduled day shift, Monday through Friday work schedule. Compressed workweeks may apply, and willingness to work occasional overtime. Field engineers will report to a site coordinator who will provide direction and job duties.
· Perform preventative and unscheduled maintenance
· Conduct on-site installation of complex equipment and follow testing procedures to ensure proper working order
· Generate technical reports and attend HPSP and/or customer meetings
· Provide troubleshooting and repair support for customers and other field service personnel
· Cultivate and develop positive working relationships with system users and company personnel
· Travel, often on short notice, to customer sites to resolve problems or support other field service personnel
· Complete and submit field service / technical reports
· Provide training for customers and users on system maintenance
· Provide feedback to product quality teams
· Provide appropriate input in writing updating and correcting various system documentation
· Provide input for various reports including identifying and isolating unique problems with system
· Act as a subject expert and resource for training
. Travel is 30% in this position.
Minimum Qualifications
· Minimum two-year technical degree with emphasis in electronics or electromechanical devices or equivalent work experience
· Effective troubleshooting, diagnostic, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
· Effective knowledge of electronics, pneumatics, automation, and electro-mechanical systems, as well as robotics, software, workstations, and operating systems. Knowledge and/or experience with high pressure systems and/or furnaces a plus
· Effective communication, collaboration, teamwork, multi-tasking, and customer skills
· Good business acumen
· Good initiative along with a strong willingness to learn, further develop, and grow
· Maintains high level of personal responsibility for achieving results and doing the right things
· Maintains high level of integrity, professionalism, and customer centricity
· Basic knowledge of tools and test equipment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
