We are looking to hire a skilled Engineering CNC Specialist to operate and maintain our CNC equipment. As an Engineering CNC Specialist, you will be responsible for creating, reading and interpreting technical blueprints, inputting the design specifications, adjusting the machine cutting paths, performing quality checks on the final product, and create and maintain work instructions. You may also be required to perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the manufacturing process.
To ensure success as an Engineering CNC Specialist, you should have extensive experience working in manufacturing, an eye for detail, the ability to work unsupervised, and an entrepreneurial passion for efficient scalability. You should have an above-average aptitude for trigonometry, geometry, statistics and algebra, excellent computer and interpersonal communication skills, physical stamina and a keen interest in production and processing. All ensuring products meet the specifications of the client in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
Responsibilities:
· Reading and interpreting technical blueprints and design models.
· Gather SolidWorks outputs from the product items.
· Create G-Code using the SolidWorks outputs using V-Carve Pro CAD/CAM
· Optimizing and loading the correct cutting tools for the job.
· Adjusting machine settings to the desired product specifications.
· Loading raw materials into the CNC machine.
· Troubleshooting issues during the manufacturing process.
· Completing quality control tests during the manufacturing stage and on the final product.
· Cleaning and maintaining the machine.
· Design and implement advanced programming operating procedures.
· Training new staff on machine operation procedures.
Requirements:
· High school diploma or GED.
o CAD/CAM Certification Preferred
· Previous work experience as a CNC programmer and operator.
· Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills.
· Ability to read and interpret design blueprints
· Advanced understanding of tool path creation using CAD/CAM software
o Preferred experience with Vetric Cut 2D Pro
· Advanced ability to create, read, and interpret G-Code
· Extensive experience with computer modeling software.
o Preferred experience with SolidWorks
· Strong attention to detail.
· Ability to work independently and adhere to deadlines.
· Ability to sit and stand for extended periods.
· Ability to lift heavy objects.
· Ability to work after-hours when required.
