Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide administrative support and ensure efficient operation of the office, assist clergy with materials necessary to conduct services, and facilitate communication.
Duties:
- Answer and direct phone calls in a polite and professional manner
- Schedule special events and coordinate paperwork for those renting the facilities
- Manage office tasks such as bulletin preparation/PowerPoint slideshows, and materials for special services like weddings and funerals as directed.
- Maintain offices supplies and equipment
- Maintain records for columbarium
- Support office management by organizing and maintaining files and records
- Publish weekly newsletter through Constant Contact
- Assist with maintaining the Church's website
- Maintains a high degree of confidentiality
Skills:
- Proficient in phone etiquette to handle calls effectively
- Experience with non-profit of religious organizations is a plus
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Constant Contact
- Bilingual Spanish/ English preferred, but not required
- Organizational skills to maintain office systems effectively
- Must pass background check and complete "Safe Church" materials upon hire
This position has hours Monday - Thursday 9am -1 pm. Some lifting of objects of up to 20 pounds may be required. Sitting, typing, and other tasks commensurate with office work are required.
