We are hiring for a Human Resource Generalist role in our People Development Department. This position requires 2-3 years of experience. It's a perfect fit for individuals with a passion for people and a genuine passion for helping others. You will be responsible for a range of tasks, as indicated below. A positive, cheerful, and always-learning attitude is most important. SHRM certification is a requirement. We seek a person with outstanding communication and problem-solving skills who is eager to grow with our company.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, certifications, and developmental skill training.
- As a Human Resource Generalist, you will not be alone in your tasks. You will collaborate with departmental managers to understand the skills and competencies required for openings, fostering a supportive work environment and team collaboration. Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including but not limited to benefits and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- We value continuous learning and staying updated with trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. This is a crucial requirement for the Human Resource Generalist role.

Education and Experience:
- A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is required.
- At least one year of human resource management experience preferred.
- SHRM-CP is mandatory.
