We are a growing multi-divisional apparel company in Orange County, CA area, seeking a reliable, hands-on, energetic, detailed oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist The successful candidate will be knowledgeable, friendly, hard-working, show self-starting initiative and not be distracted by the fast-paced and ever-changing environment. The candidate must be a team player who is hands-on, willing to roll up their sleeves and get involved with the daily details on a regular basis. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you'll play a crucial role in managing the company's receivables and ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices.
Responsibilities:
1. Generate and send out invoices to clients accurately and in a timely manner.
2. Follow up on outstanding payments and manage the collection process.
3. Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
4. Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.
5. Communicate with customers via phone, email, or in-person to resolve outstanding issues and negotiate payment plans if necessary.
6. Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to resolve any billing issues and improve the overall invoicing process.
7. Prepare aging reports and provide updates on accounts receivable status to management.
8. Assist in month-end closing activities and provide support for audits as needed.
9. Maintain accurate records of all interactions with customers and payment details.
Requirements:
Related accounting experience of 2 – 5 years in apparel manufacturing preferred
1. Proven experience working in Accounts Receivable or a similar role.
2. Apparel Industry experience a plus.
3. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
4. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
7. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
8. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
9. Experience with ERP systems and Shopwork software is a plus.
10. Being detailed oriented, organized, and multi-tasked is essential to your success.
