Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will work in clinic providing essential speech therapy services to patients. This role involves patient assessment, therapy implementation, and case management.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments to determine speech and language disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including goals and interventions.
- Provide speech therapy to patients with various conditions such as communication disorders, swallowing difficulties, and cognitive-communication impairments.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulations.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings for school-based services.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to speech and swallowing.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations, including ICU patients.
- Proficiency in conducting patient assessments and developing treatment plans.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to speech therapy practice.
- Strong communication skills for effective patient interaction and interdisciplinary collaboration.
