Overview:
The Service Technician I at Total Environmental Management, Inc. (TEM) is responsible to ascertain the daily activities in the shop and yard are done in a timely manner consistently. This role will be performing maintenance, repairs, and startups of units in the yard and onsite at customers’ locations and contributes to TEM’s exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:
Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment and systems
Diagnose and repair malfunctions in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and recommend solutions
Install new equipment or components as needed
Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed
What are the biggest challenges that they’ll face? What would they need to DO to overcome them?
Interacting with anxious/upset customers – This role communicates with a variety of customers in the field daily, completing unit maintenance and repairs with an urgent pressure from customers. This person must be able to navigate customers spaces and confidently communicate boundaries with customer involvement in the maintenance and repair process.
Learning TEM internal processes – There are a lot of unique internal processes within the business that will take time to learn and understand. This person must be willing and eager to gain a full knowledge of the processes, and not be afraid to ask questions in order to complete their responsibilities with accuracy and a deep knowledge of the operational processes and structure.
Working in a physically demanding industry – This position will be spending long hours outside in varying temperatures, noise levels, and other conditions while working outdoors. This person must follow all TEM safety procedures to minimize exposure and risk.
Traveling to distant job sites in traffic – This position will visit multiple job sites daily and can travel .5-4 hours between job sites with the occasional out of state assignment. This person must be willing to drive long hours and manage their time effectively to ensure timely arrival to job sites.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years demonstrated experience in HVAC trade or equivalent education in trade school or apprenticeship required.
- 2+ years in general equipment diagnosis and repair or other applicable working experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Is able to pass a drug screen and physical and is acceptable to insurance required.
- Is able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds, on an on-going basis required.
- Demonstrated experience with GoFormz, Paycom, and Dropbox software a plus.
- Driven and hungry to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment required.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
