Are you good at picking up a conversation with anyone? Looking for EXPERIENCED industry professionals to run an automotive service facility at the highest levels of efficiency and profitability. PREVIOUS AUTOMOTIVE MANAGER EXPERIENCE IS A MUST. Ideally looking for five years or more, with experience handling P&L's, day to day operations, understanding key performance indicators, and metrics such as ARO, GP, AWRO, HPT, and more! Growth oriented is key!
The Store Manager for this location should have the ability to manage individuals, acquire talent, manage day to day operations, have high proficiency in sales and driving the customer experience, garnering reviews, reputation management, ability to reconcile and track parts invoices, meet production quotas, and more. This position is technically a sales position but places emphasis on a world class customer experience above all else.
Some of the responsibilities include:
- Open and close the business
- Schedule customer vehicle appointments and modify schedule, as well as manage resources to provide an expedient experience for the customer
- Utilize professional and courteous phone skills to answer and assist customers with questions regarding scheduling, vehicle estimations, and more, as well as monitor the company voicemail and provide callbacks
- Greet customers and check in vehicles for drop off utilizing existing processes to ensure a uniform customer experience
- Perform the walk around procedure with customers to retrieve information off their vehicle
- Explain to them our “mantra” and our maintenance and rewards program and how it works during the drop off, provide information on what may be due by mileage on their vehicle
- Assign and manage daily workload and provide them to the correct technician
- Check in with the general manager on a weekly basis about concerns on day to day operation and provide feedback to improve the customer experience
- Provide thank you calls to all customers 3-5 days after their vehicle is retrieved
- Interact with technicians to provide an accurate customer experience that reflects any items that the technician recommends
- Email/text and explain the Courtesy Vehicle Health Inspection to the customer and all services that are due to their vehicle as well as any repairs that the technician flags
- Source the required parts at the right quality replacement level based on customer need and plans for their vehicle – including utilizing phone and internet parts vendors and interacting with dealership parts departments
- Utilize a parts markup matrix to determine correct profit margin on parts
- Utilize a labor guide along with technician knowledge to determine correct labor hours for the estimate and utilize labor matrix to determine proper labor pricing depending on the job at hand
- Call the customer and discuss the repair and advise them on their vehicle – explain the entire pile – and break it down if customer requests – gain approval for the repairs/service – provide adequate time for the technician to perform the repair in a comfortable fashion – arrange a shuttle service or a loaner vehicle for the customer if requested
- Maintain company loaner vehicles to an adequate standard of operation utilizing spare labor inventory
- Order parts and provide an update to the technician on what services will be performed
- Check in with customer at 10am – 2 pm daily to provide them information on anything that may have changed during the repair
- Perform a 2:30pm parts check in with technicians on all repairs to determine that they have the correct parts needed for the job
- Call the customer when repair is completed and explain to them what was completed and take payment over the phone if requested
- Perform the checkout procedure when the customer comes in to provide closure and the “kiss goodbye” to the customer when they leave
- Project manage all individual repairs performed on each vehicle.
- Staff and hire for their store, and focus on constant new talent acquisition
- Drive business through community relationships, follow up calls, managing various email inboxes, etc.
- Bring a positive attitude and the ability to effectively manage personnel and hard resources to operate a profitable shop.
Some requirements for this position are:
Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma – GED
Minimum Five Years Managing an Automotive Shop as a General/Store Manager
Must Complete 4 Training Sessions a Year – Through the Company
CO State Driver’s License

The working conditions for this position can be noisy and dirty. Must be able to function in a noisy and dirty environment. Hot and cold conditions may be experienced when going outside to provide the walk around procedure for their vehicles. All weather service will be required – must be able to report to work in excessive summer heat and winter conditions – must be able to drive all types of vehicles including manual transmission vehicles including large and small vehicles.
