Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a medical office setting and possess knowledge of medical terminology and various medical software systems. You will be responsible for assisting physicians and clinicians with patient care duties in a clinic environment, promoting patient flow efficiently and assist clinicians with physical examination and in-office procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
· Record patient data prior to each physician/clinician encounter, including but not limited to: medical history, allergies, vital signs, medication history.
· Review charts prior to patient appointments to assure that all requested lab work and diagnostic procedures have been completed and that reports have been returned and are accessible to the provider.
· Escort patients to and from exam and treatment rooms.
· Assist physician with in-office procedures.
· Operate and monitor functioning of medical equipment.
· Stock exam/treatment rooms with supplies as needed.
· Maintain all exam/treatment rooms clean and disinfected following office protocol.
· Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections, as delegated by physician and nursing staff.
· Cross trains to perform patient access tasks; including: answering telephone calls and taking messages from patients and direct them to other staff members as needed.
· Assist physician/clinician with prescriptions by phone, fax or e-prescription.
· Perform other administrative duties, i.e typing, filing, faxing, chart preparation, reception, etc as requested by the physician and/or supervisor.
· Ensure safe care to patients and other staff members.
Skills:
· Proficiency in medical office procedures and clinic operations.
· Knowledge of medical terminology for effective communication with patients and providers.
· Strong customer service skills to provide exceptional patient service
· Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent, additional healthcare-related education or certification is a plus.
· Certificate of graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants is preferred.
· Proven experience as a medical assistant with at least 1-2 years of experience preferred.
· Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
· Attention to detail and the ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
· A commitment to patient satisfaction and delivering exceptional service.

Pay: $15.50 - $21.00 per hour
