About the position:
Responsible for providing work direction and coordination inside the warehouse operation timely and accurate receipt, movement and shipping of all products and supplies in the warehouse alignment with all Company policies, procedures, key objectives and regulations.
Day in the life

Supervises other warehouse staff and Provides coaching, mentoring, and training to warehouse team members. Coordinates warehouse work to ensure priorities are understood and that the warehouse team is working together to achieve day-to-day objectives.

Works closely with warehouse team members and others to ensure all warehouse procedures, quality and safety standards are understood and adhered to. Assists with fleet coordination and equipment DOT certification efforts as needed.

Responsible for receiving and accounting for all inbound materials in the warehouse. Maintain receiving log. Accurately tracks inventory and reconciles inventory issues as they arise.
- Utilize computerized inventory system. Communicates with purchaser of materials to ensure on-time arrivals and agreed-upon location of storage.

Responsible for all outbound shipping, including couriers and UPS/FedEx. Minimizes delivery costs whenever possible. Ensures all paperwork is properly completed for shipments.

Partners with outside freight companies to ensure all shipments are shipped accurately and on schedule.

Responds to calls from field and office staff for material orders from warehouse inventory. Picks orders and schedules delivery or pick-up. Manages material transfers and returns.
- Distributes packages to office personnel in an accurate and timely manner. Coordinates deliveries from the warehouse with members of the tool department.

Safely operates forklift, pallet jacks and hand trucks to load and unload trucks and move materials into the warehouse. Stocks and maintains the Company's Managed Inventory (PMI) boxes.
- Plans, organizes, and controls the flow of materials, tools, and equipment organizes and maintains cleanliness of warehouse and outbound areas, maintaining staging areas for equipment and material.
- Organizes materials to make them easily accessible and clearly labeled.

Coordinates with the safety department to develop, maintain and practice safety policies and procedures with all equipment and tools, including forklifts, trucks, and trailers.

Provides supervision, mentoring and training to staff and other co-workers as needed. Provides performance feedback frequently. Organizes Company events as needed (e.g., customer events or Company-wide meetings).

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by establishing solid networks and communicating well with co-workers, customers, project managers, foremen, sub-contractors, vendors, office staff and field personnel.

Consistently makes decisions in an attentive and safe manner to ensure the safety and health of self and others.

Utilizes LEAN concepts or other continuous improvement methodologies to ensure the most efficient operations, processes, and activities.

Required Education, Experience and Skills
Associate degree in manufacturing, distribution, logistics, engineering, operations, electrical
construction, or a related field. Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and DOT Medical Examiner's
Certificate preferred.
Expected Hours of Work & Travel
Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Occasional travel to job sites may be required as needed. Occasional travel and/or working from project sites is required
