Medical Records Technicians needed to provide support to the Utah Army National Guard in indexing, tracking and requesting of health records. This position is full-time. Occasional weekend work will be required; however no employee will exceed 40 hours per week.
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent
1+ years experience in Medical Records
Performance Requirements:
Completion of HIPPA Training Annually
Responsible for tracking medical records of all soldiers, administrative medical charting and requesting exams
Attend Periodic Health Assessments (PHA) events, as determined by the needs of the state.
Regularly check emails and voicemails throughout the day and respond in a timely manner.
Ensure Soldiers referred by a provider are briefed on records collection SOP.
Ensure all medical documentation received from soldiers and medical team are placed in the appropriate electronic records, as well as the Soldiers hard copy
Maintain soldiers' medical records and tracking log
Obtain release of information
Upload and index medical documents into Health Readiness Record (HRR)
Track Medical appointments and follow up with compliance
Contact soldiers and request medical documentation.
