There are three cath labs at UF Health's Leesburg Hospital and 1 electrophysiology lab. An RN who is passionate about elevating their clinical skill set will truly value the professional experience they will acquire while working, as there are a lot of complex interventional cases and structural heart cases. The providers are excited about the field and love to share their knowledge with their staff. This is a close-knit cath lab where collaboration and teamwork are celebrated with state-of-art cath lab technology and medical devices. The director is a servant-leader with 30 years of UF Health Leesburg experience and is dedicated to the success of her team and the people of her community.
Under the direction of the director/charge person, the RN utilizes the nursing process, facilitates patient care by making nursing assessments and diagnoses, formulates care plans based on the diagnoses, and implements and evaluates the plan of care specific to cardiac catheterization lab patients. Responsible for environment of care according to The Joint Commission standards. Responsible for the nursing care of the pre- and post-cardiac catheterization lab patient.
This position shift will be:
- 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. = 3 12-hours shifts + on-call (1 night a week and 1 weekend a month, probably every 3rd or 4th weekend = Friday night, close of business to Monday, 6 a.m.).
- Must report within 30 minutes.

- Florida registered nurse license
- BLS
- ACLS
