Pharmacy Customer Service Representative
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Pharmacy Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a vital point of contact between our pharmacy, our physician partners and patients, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service and support. Your primary responsibility will be to handle inbound and outbound calls, addressing patient inquiries, processing payments, and ensuring smooth communication between patients, healthcare professionals, and pharmacy staff.
REQUIRES FREQUENT STANDING IN A RETAIL ENVIRONMENT FOR 6 - 10 HOURS A DAY
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Patient Assistance – Respond to incoming calls from customers, healthcare professionals, and patients. Address inquiries regarding prescription refills, medication availability, dosages, side effects, and general pharmacy services with accuracy, empathy, and professionalism.
- Payment Processing – Collect necessary information from patients to process payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with pharmacy regulations.
- Problem Resolution – Handle customer complaints, concerns, and issues effectively, working to find solutions that meet patient needs while adhering to pharmacy policies and guidelines.
- Data Entry – Accurately record/update customer information and communication interactions in the pharmacy's database system.
- Collaboration – Coordinate with pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, to ensure seamless medication processing, order fulfillment, and delivery/pick-up options.
- Compliance – adhere to pharmacy regulations, data protection protocols, and confidentiality requirements when handling sensitive patient and medical information.
- Documentation – Maintain detailed records of patient interactions, insurance communications, and other relevant information for future reference.
- Continuous Learning – Stay updated on pharmacy products, services, industry trends, and regulations to provide informed and up-to-date assistance to customers.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
