Shadow Systems is a manufacturer of high-precision custom firearms and firearms components. Our team is seeking a CNC Machine Maintenance Technician responsible for performing preventative maintenance on machinery, as well as helping with the upkeep of facilities, under the guidance of the CNC Programmer Lead. We are seeking candidates with a strong work ethic that believe in high-quality work and can work unsupervised at times. Flexibility and problem solving are critical to success in this role. Completely clean background check and drug screening are requirements for this position.
Essential duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned)
- Repairing production equipment
- Ensure cleanliness of machine and machine components by making use of hose, air guns, solvents, cloths, vacuum or other appliances
- Performing electrical and mechanical work
- Performing maintenance of electrical and plumbing systems and heating/air-conditioning units.
- Perform repair and maintenance of manufacturing equipment including hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Disassemble machines and take off parts for replacement or repair by using cranes, hoists, chain falls, hand tools and jacks
- Examine or carry out tasks on broken machine parts and identify defective parts or give recommendations to supervisors on repair requirements
- Replace, fix or realign machine parts and accessories in line with production specifications
- Application of adhesives, lubricants or other materials to machines or their parts as well as other equipment in accordance with stated procedures
- Put machine parts together after accomplishing maintenance and repair work
- Utilizing diagnostic equipment, such as multimeters and infrared scanning equipment
- Inspecting the condition of equipment according to warranty agreements
- Ordering replacement parts as needed
- Troubleshooting hydraulics, electronics and software
- Conducting testing, and adjusting systems and parts
- Cleaning and maintaining work areas and equipment
- Basic knowledge of Fanuc Robot preferred
- Basic knowledge of Fanuc pallet changers preferred
- Basic knowledge of Midaco pallet changer preferred
- Mistbuster and Filtermist cleaning/repair
- Air filter replacement
- Maintain coolant concentration.
Qualifications/ basic job requirements:
- Experience operating machining centers
- Knowledge of Electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical system.
- Welding and machining experience preferred
- Strong aptitude for problem solving / root cause analysis
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Knows how to use following measuring tools: calipers, micrometer, digital height gauge
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
