**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have medical office front desk experience, basic medical insurance knowledge, and scheduling experience and possess strong communication skills, customer service skills and basic understanding of medical insurance.
**Duties:**
- Check patients in for appointment
- Check patient out from appointment
- Verify insurance information and demographics
- Update patients demographics
- Take picture of patient
- Collect patient copay and outstanding balance
- Schedule, cancel, and reschedule appointments as needed for both appointments and in-house testing following written procedure.
- Encourage and instruct patients on how to use the self-check in Kiosk
- Scan appropriate patient information into computer at a high level of accuracy. This includes, but is not limited to: Patient’s photo, insurance cards, signed financial policy and signed HIPAA notice
- Follow up on all no-show appointments. Document per CIM guidelines.
- Constantly monitor lobby area for patient safety, comfort and clean appearance
- Balance and prepare front window deposit daily
- Distribute patient education material as directed by supervisor and/or provider
- Operate all aspects of office equipment including, but not limited to copier, fax, computer, printer, and calculator
- Answer all telephone calls in a timely (3rd ring) and courteous manner
- Direct callers to appropriate person
- Make appointment reminder calls
- Prepare and send out new patient information packets
- Provide “coverage” for check-in/check-out/telephone position as needed
- Assist with medical records
- Participate in staff meetings and morning huddles.
- Participate in ongoing development activities
- Maintain practice dress standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work space
- Assist in keeping the total CIM facility clean for both patients and co-workers
- Work with other members of the CIM team in a pleasant and courteous manner
- Support practice mission and goals
- Other Tasks and responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor
Supervisor- Office Coordinator
Full Time: Monday–Friday/7:45am–5:15pm
$13.50 - $15.50 ($13.50 with no prior experience)
Wage will be reevaluated when employee is transitioned over to CIM payroll.
