Head Chef
Overview:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to join our team. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations, managing the kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and service.
Duties:
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff in food preparation and cooking activities
- Develop and create innovative menu items while maintaining consistency and quality
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations
- Manage inventory, ordering, and budgeting for the kitchen
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper techniques and procedures
- Collaborate with management to plan and execute special events or menu changes
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a high-volume kitchen
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and kitchen operations
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
- Proficient in menu planning, recipe development, and cost control
- Understanding of restaurant management principles
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
