Job Summary:
As the Lead Host at Charlotte's, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a remarkable first impression. Your role is to lead the host team, manage reservations and ensure the seamless flow of the restaurant’s front-of-the-house operations. We are seeking a candidate with exceptional team leadership skills and prior experience in hosting at high-volume restaurants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Welcome: Greet guests with warmth, sophistication and genuine enthusiasm, setting the tone for their dining experience.
- Reservation Management: Oversee the reservation system, ensuring accurate bookings, table assignments and an efficient seating plan.
- Team Leadership: Lead, train and motivate the host team, setting the standard for excellence in service and hospitality.
- Seating Efficiency: Coordinate with the restaurant floor staff to maintain an optimal seating plan, minimizing wait times and ensuring the restaurant operates at peak efficiency.
- Guest Relations: Address guest concerns, inquiries and special requests with professionalism, aiming to exceed their expectations.
- Organizational Skills: Maintain a well-organized host stand, manage waitlists, and provide support to the other restaurant departments as needed.
- Event Coordination: Assist with organizing special events, private parties and promotions as required.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with restaurant policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
- Team Scheduling: Collaborate with the management team to create and maintain efficient host schedules.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in hosting and team leadership, preferably in a high volume restaurant environment.
- A passion for hospitality and a deep understanding of the importance of creating a memorable guest experience.
- Confident, poised and professional demeanor with a sophisticated approach to guest interaction.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in reservation management software.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
