**Job Description:**
As a Mental Health Nurse at our facility, you will be an integral part of the multidisciplinary team that provides care, support, and treatment to individuals dealing with a range of mental health issues. Your responsibilities will include:
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Patient Assessment and Care:** Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health conditions, develop individualized care plans, and provide therapeutic interventions.
2. **Medication Management:** Administer and monitor medications, ensuring adherence to prescribed treatment plans and educating patients about their medications.
3. **Crisis Intervention:** Respond to and manage crisis situations, providing support and guidance to patients experiencing acute emotional distress.
4. **Therapeutic Support:** Facilitate therapeutic groups and individual counseling sessions to help patients develop coping skills and promote recovery.
5. **Collaboration:** Work closely with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and treatment plans.
6. **Documentation:** Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting assessments, care provided, and treatment outcomes.
7. **Patient Advocacy:** Be an advocate for patients, ensuring their rights and preferences are respected and promoting a stigma-free environment.
**Qualifications:**
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of [State].
- BLS and CPR certification.

Duties
- Perform patient assessments, including vital signs, medication reconciliation, and documentation.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Assist with patient education and provide support to patients and their families.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including electronic health records.
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
Requirements:
- Valid LPN license in the state of Florida.
- Experience with IV insertion and sterile processing preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical office procedures and protocols.
- Ability to lift and move patients as needed.
- Experience in pediatrics or other specialized areas of care is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Knowledge of infection control practices and procedures.
- Ability to perform patient assessments and provide appropriate care based on findings.
- Familiarity with dermal fillers is a plus.
