Medical Assistant, New Jersey Spine and Orthopedic
Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-oriented, Medical assistant for the Greater Philadelphia area.
We are a fast growing Orthopedic Spine and General Orthopedic practice. We specialize in minimally invasive surgery for the spine and other surgical interventions for major joints. Most of the patients we see are personal injury, work comp and motor vehicle accidents but we do see private insurance as well.
The Job is 9-5 Monday-Friday. The position requires travel. All tolls and parking are reimbursed. We reimburse .65 cents/mile.
On Monday, and Wednesday you will be in our center city office in Philadelphia. This will serve as your home office location. We are also in center city every other Friday alternating with an office in Cherry Hill, NJ.
We go the following locations once a month on Tuesday's and Thursdays:
Tioga Street in Port Richmond, PA (Northeast Philadelphia)
Germantown, PA (Northwest Philadelphia)
Allentown, PA
We are looking for Medical Assistants with a strong emphasis on patient care, attention to detail, confirming patient appointments, gathering necessary medical records/images ad accurately inputting them into our system. We are looking for someone who is reliable and focused on implementing new ideas to continue to improve our practice for the best patient care experience.
Medical Assistant are a vital member of the Physician Practice and provides clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality and efficient care.
Responsibilities:
(include but are not limited to)
- Greeting patient
- Answering high volume calls
- input demographic information
- Medical records
- Scanning & Filling paperwork insurance cards/intake forms
- Assisting providers during clinic
- Obtaining reports from facilities
- Confirming appointments
- Check patients in exam rooms and take patient history/vitals
- Preparing injections for the providers
You will work closely with the Physician Assistant and the Orthopedic Surgeon.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
