In this role, you will serve as an expert in the technical aspects of credit bureau reporting and direct / indirect disputes management. You will investigate and respond to direct and indirect disputes; ensuring they are addressed accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with regulations and internal policies. Special projects may include assisting with credit reporting and Metro2 file pre and post audits.
Responsibilities:
What you will be doing:

Adhering to company’s FCRA and credit policies, operational procedures, SOPs, and training guides focused on dispute resolution and management

Root cause analysis and tracking for received credit disputes

Recommending and implementing modifications to procedures, workflow, and processes as necessary to ensure efficient, effective, and accurate processing

Ensuring operational/compliance objectives remain in line with business requirements and organizational strategies

Assisting as needed in compliance reviews, audits, and regulatory exams as they pertain to credit bureau reporting, credit disputes and inquiry removals

Researching and responding accurately to direct and indirect credit disputes within a timely manner

Submitting AUDs for account corrections and fraud deletions
Qualifications:
What you should have:

Bachelor’s Degree or 2+ years of work experience utilizing analytical and customer escalation skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including expertise in MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint and MS Word

Proven ability to be proactive and results oriented

Experience adapting quickly to new technologies and changing business requirements

Ability to grasp technical operational disciplines and procedures; accuracy and attention to detail are required

Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, articulate, and communicate complex results in a fast-paced environment
You will stand out as a candidate if you have:
- Familiarity with e-OSCAR dispute handling technology and/or the Metro 2 industry standard format for credit reporting

Experience with ACDV (Automated Credit Dispute Verification form) and AUD (Automated Universal Data form)

SQL knowledge a plus

Experience with the Metro2 credit reporting format and Metro2 file review
Base Hourly Rate: $20.00 - $25.00
The base hourly range represents the low and high end of the anticipated hourly range for this position based on the state average. The actual base hourly offered for this full-time position will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, skills, knowledge, competencies, and experience.
