We are Alpha Supported Living Services, a non-profit organization, we provide residential and community-based services to adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Our primary objective at Alpha is to enhance the quality of life for each of our clients by aiding them in learning, personal development, and fostering increased independence. Since 1974, we've been dedicated to offering supported living, group home, community inclusion, and representative payee services, expanding our reach across King, Snohomish, and Spokane counties in Washington State. Job Summary
The Marketing and Event Coordinator is part of the Development Team and is responsible for providing administrative support for day-to-day Development Department operations, as well as overseeing the marketing and special event strategies for the organization. Primary duties include managing and updating all social media accounts, website management, and special event support. The Marketing and Event Coordinator reports directly to the Development Director and interacts with program participants and must be familiar with the Guiding Values issued by the Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA). At all times, the Development Assistant will seek to act in accord with the principles and values expressed in the guidelines and uphold the agency mission.
Day-to-Day
Who we are looking for
- Experience with Greater Giving or similar event/auction software, MailChimp, and virtual streaming platforms like Zoom
- Familiarity with social media, analytical tools, and website management is advantageous
- Experience in event planning
- Interact effectively with high-level volunteers and handle confidential information with discretion.
- Maintain a regular schedule during standard operating hours, with occasional evening and weekend work required. Remain in contact with the Development Director during business hours when working remotely
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher) and Adobe. Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge, Greater Giving, and Mail Chimp is preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences
- Work independently, prioritize tasks to meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail
Job Requirements
- Minimum age of 21 years of age
- Bachelor’s degree from a college/university
- Possession of a Washington State driver’s license, current vehicle insurance, and eligibility for coverage under Alpha Supported Living Services’ automobile insurance plan based on driving record
- Clearance of background inquiry from an authorized state agency
Starting Wage:
$27.50/hr
Wage Scale:
$27.50-$33.10/hr
Benefits:
Benefits for Full-Time Employees (30 hours or more a week) include Medical, Dental, Vision, 403(b) (non-profit version of a 401(k)) with company match, Life Insurance, Tuition Savings Program, and Tuition Reimbursement. Employees working 34 or more hours a week are eligible for PTO accrual.
