Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with students with diverse learning needs and creating inclusive educational environments.
Duties:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Provide specialized instruction based on students' unique learning styles and abilities
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other educators to support student progress
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to create a positive learning environment
- Adapt curriculum materials and teaching strategies to meet individual student needs
- Incorporate assistive technology and adaptive equipment to enhance student learning experiences
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field; Master's degree preferred
- State certification in Special Education
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including but not limited to deaf education, speech therapy, and developmental disabilities
- Strong understanding of childhood development and instructional design principles
- Proficiency in curriculum development and assessment strategies
- Excellent mentoring and communication skills to support student growth and development
- Ability to provide a nurturing and supportive environment for students with special needs
Preferred Skills:
- Classroom management expertise
- Experience in childcare or related fields
- Proofreading skills for IEP documentation accuracy
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $39,436.66 - $47,493.61 per year
