This position is working for a non profit company specializing in enriching adults with disabilities.
SCHEDULE: 8:00 am - 3:00 pm, Paid Half hour lunch when supervision of group Monday to Friday, overtime must be pre-approved by the direct manager.

● Receives direct supervision from the Case Manager.
● Responsible for the direct supervision and training of consumers which includes training Adults on the use of computer programs such as Microsoft suite, photo editing, media editing, publisher, PowerPoint, and typing skills.
● Creating flyers for upcoming events and sending to all staff two weeks prior to the event date.
● Creating a monthly newsletter that includes as much consumer and staff information as possible with at least 5 consumer profiles, one staff profile, pictures of consumers and consumer events. It is the media group’s responsibility to gather the information.
● Interviewing host companies for testimonials .
● Posting pictures of events on Facebook in a timely manner.
● Proofreading all flyers, newsletters, and Facebook information prior to sending out or posting.
● Updating all company brochures and pamphlets
● Creating badges in a timely manner and maintaining and updating the spreadsheet for badges made. Also keep inventory of badge supplies and request ahead if supplies are short.
● Maintaining all consumer and staff pictures by building and by case managers
● Participate in and direct daily production at worksites.
● Maintain consumer timesheets, attendance records, and Worksheet training data
● Provide oral and written feedback to the consumer regarding job progress.
● Communicate with the case manager on issues, concerns, and progress of consumers.
● Maintain quality control records on standards as required by the Host Company and/or Ability Counts, Inc.
● Responsible for the immediate reporting of any injury/incident involving consumers or self.
● Responsible for accurately recording consumer goal progress for reporting to regulatory agencies.
● Must be able to meet the attendance requirements of the position, and be punctual.
● Facilitate monthly scheduled safety meetings and evacuation drills with consumers.
● Accurately document information needed for billing purposes.
● Responsible for submitting required CARF paperwork to case managers at the end of the month.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
● Performs other duties as assigned.
● Assist other job coaches with other departments as needed
● Fill in as a substitute job coach at other sites as necessary.
● Transport consumers to and from the worksite as necessary.
● Perform regular vehicle inspections.
Three (3) years’ experience working with adults with development or physical disabilities; Associates Degree; or a combination of experience and education. Proficient in reading, writing and math skills; proficient in Microsoft suite, Google applications, and Case Magic software programs. Excellent communication, grammar and interpersonal skills.
Valid California driver’s license and driving record acceptable to insurance companies. CPR and First Aid certificate required.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common, technical documents; operating and maintenance instructions; financial reports; legal documents; respond to inquiries and complaints from staff, customers, and other stakeholders; represent the company in a professional manner to top management and public; speak effectively before groups. Skilled in problem solving matters that may arise and create solutions; basic mathematical skills and operations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception; hand and finger dexterity. Duties and responsibilities performed normally do require physical requirements including standing, walking, bending, squatting, and carrying, pushing, pulling and occasional lifting of material up to 30 pounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works either indoor, outdoor or warehouse environment; is exposed to various, chemicals, fumes, odors, dust, heat, cold, wind and seasonal changes in climate. Works well under pressure of deadlines and endure emotional stress.
COMPENSATION: $16.00 - $18.00/HR
The above range is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
