Description
General Function/Primary Responsibilities:
Part time position will provide visitors and guests with information concerning the Broadway at the Beach shopping center and general Myrtle Beach area
- Greet all customers and motor coach tours entering the guest service center
- Maintain the Guest Service Center lobby, keeping clean and fully stocked with brochures and other property collateral
- Prepare Broadway at the Beach bags with brochures, coupons and other tchotchkes to be given to tour groups visiting Broadway at the Beach
- Answer telephone in a friendly manner and direct calls to appropriate source
- Attend periodic staff meetings
- Promote a synergistic relationship with team members in all department and divisions
- Ensure professional development to enhance work knowledge, skills and abilities
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules, regulations, standards, guidelines, expectations and requirements
- Ensure completion of work responsibilities and special projects in accordance with the designated timeframe, as determined by the reporting leader
- Adhere to Company ethical requirements, demonstrating the utmost integrity in all professional and personal matters
- Provide reporting leader with feedback, ideas and suggestions on a timely basis
- Perform all other duties as assigned by reporting leader
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience
Minimum 6 months - 1 year work related experience with knowledge of Broadway at the Beach and the Myrtle Beach area
Other Requirements
Must be available to work approx. 24-28 hours per week. Hours of operation are Sunday - Saturday 9am-9pm.
Special Physical Requirements of the Job/Working Conditions
- Sit or stand for long periods of time, use of hands, talk and hear
- Occasionally lift or move up to 25 lbs. at least 20% of the time
- Routinely required to work extended periods of time on a Video Display Terminal (VDT)
- Required to work flexible schedule based on the needs of the business, including some holidays
Special Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and others as needed
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
- Good communication skills including verbal and written
- Positive and effective customer service skills
