Lafayette Medical Approach, an outpatient opioid treatment program, has an opening for a substance abuse counselor.
Lafayette Medical Approach has been treating individuals with opioid addiction in the NYC community for over 40 years. We are a state-licensed (OASAS) and federally accredited (CARF) program, with an excellent reputation in the addiction community.
You will be responsible for a caseload of approximately 55-65 patients, conducting weekly counseling sessions, facilitating groups, attending staff meetings, and additional clinical duties.
Qualifications for the Substance Abuse Counselor position:
1. MUST have at minimum a CASAC-t (must provide credentials) or above (CASAC, LMHC, LMSW).
2. Preferably 1-2 years experience in the substance abuse field.
* Spanish speaking is a plus!
Salary is determined by experience and performance. We offer an opportunity to obtain great hands-on clinical experience in the social services field.
