Happy Days Children's Learning Center has been serving the Santa Cruz community since 1995. We offer age-appropriate programs for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers at two locations in Santa Cruz, California.

Preschool Teacher Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and carry out a curriculum that focuses on different areas of child development.
- Create plans for daily activities in line with curriculum.
- Foster a positive and healthy learning environment.
- Ensure the classroom is kept in a clean and safe condition at all times.
- Evaluate children's progress and needs.
- Communicate with parents regarding child development and progress.
- Be able to direct and train Teacher Assistants.
- Assist in potty training and diaper changes.
Preschool Teacher Requirements and Qualifications:
- Must have core ECE units completed as well as some experience in a classroom.
- A passion for early childhood education and helping children grow in positive ways.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to speak, read and write English fluently.
- TB Screening and Department of Justice fingerprint clearance required prior to date of hire and proof of immunizations.
- Ability to stand and move around for long hours at a time while teaching and must be able to lift no less than 50 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the workday.
- Highly professional and dependable.
- Enthusiastic and encouraging.
- Patient and supportive approach to the learning process.
- Must be able to interact warmly, appropriately, and professionally with students of all ages/skill levels, as well as with parents, coworkers and management.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
