Who are you?
The ideal candidate for this position is a detail-oriented and organized individual, who is self directed and dedicated. You will be responsible for accurately and efficiently entering financial data into QuickBooks and Quickbooks Online, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our financial records. This position offers great schedule flexibility and opportunity for advancement.
Role and Responsibilities:
Financial Record Keeping:
-Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks/QBO).
-Assist in recording day-to-day financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
-Assist in reconciling bank statements and ensure consistency with financial records in Quickbooks.
-Input vendor invoices into Quickbooks/QBO, following the SOP>.
-Categorize expenses and properly allocate to specified projects.
-Ensure all financial data is entered in compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
-Assist in the preparation of financial reports as needed.
-Work directly with the executive team to support day to day accounting needs
-Support communication with staff and provide updates
-Support the management of accounting email
-Handle printing, faxing, mailing letters, copying, filing, and other administrative tasks.
-Maintain confidential and sensitive information, operating with professionalism at all times.
-Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications:
-Proficiency in using accounting software, preferably QuickBooks.
-Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (i.e. GAAP).
-Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
-Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
-Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
-Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
