TITLE: Outpatient Physical Therapist - Ortho Focus
Valley Medical Center Outpatient Rehabilitation Services is seeking a full-time Outpatient Orthopedic-Physical Therapist to join our talented and growing multidisciplinary team. Our team includes physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, rehabilitation medicine physicians, as well as collaboration with hospital and community primary care providers.
The ideal candidate would possess a strong back ground and passion for treating orthopedics and sports related injuries, dedicated to providing the best quality care for their patients. Additional skills or specialty in Vestibular and Occupational Health are very helpful. The candidate will have mastered skills in multiple service areas and will be expected to provide guidance and leadership skills in program development, quality management, community education, time management, day to day scheduling, student and volunteer supervision and training, staff training and marketing activities and will be seen as a resource to other staff members.
We provide comprehensive care to a diverse patient population with Orthopedic conditions. We are looking for an enthusiastic and collaborative therapist, with excellent communication skills and experience treating complex patients from varied socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. Familiarity with providing telehealth as well as in-person or video language interpreters helpful.
Preferred skills and abilities:
· Clinical experience treating patients with orthopedic conditions in a multidisciplinary setting. Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) helpful.
· 2-5 years of experience in outpatient hospital-based clinic helpful.
· Experience with multidisciplinary case management of complex medical conditions and social situations helpful.
PREREQUISITES:
- Current Washington State PT Interim or Active License
- Ability to evaluate patients, plan and implement therapeutic techniques with written evaluations and treatment plans to reach established goals
- Ability to prioritize tasks for patient care and projects to meet established standards and deadlines
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current BLS certification within 90 days of hire
- Professional appearance
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate ability to prioritize multiple tasks, set priorities and work accurately and independently in a fast paced environment
- Demonstrate ability to communicate and to work effectively with the physical, emotional, socioeconomical, and developmental abilities and needs of all age groups, cultural and social backgrounds, and other diversity related contributors
