PRIMARY PURPOSE: Ensures policies and procedures established by the Student Nutrition Department are implemented and followed. Facilitate the day-to-day operation of the kitchens including the areas of Food Production, Time Management, Employee Management and all areas necessary to operate an effective and efficient establishment. Assist the Student Nutrition Department in planning and implementing all departmental programs for managers and employees.
Minimum Education/Certification: Certificate of Technology in Culinary Arts or complete in the first year of employment.
Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Restaurant Institutional Management, or Business Management or related business degree preferred.
Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of the Federal School Meal Programs, Knowledge of computers and approved USDA computerized point of sale systems, Knowledge of Microsoft office products and windows operating systems, Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
