Job Title: Counselor (Christian)
Overview:
We are a dedicated Christian-based private practice seeking compassionate and experienced Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Associate Counselors (LAC) to join our team on a part-time per diem basis. Our practice provides comprehensive mental health and faith-based counseling services, integrating psychological principles with Christian values to support the holistic well-being of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions to a diverse client population.
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate both clinical and faith-based approaches.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational difficulties.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and progress notes in compliance with state regulations and practice policies.
- Participate in regular supervision and team meetings to discuss case progress and receive feedback.
- Collaborate with other counselors, healthcare providers, and community resources to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with advancements in counseling practices and faith-based interventions.
- Uphold the ethical standards and guidelines of the counseling profession and the principles of Christian faith in all client interactions.
Qualifications:
- Active New Jersey state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC).
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Strong commitment to integrating Christian faith and values with clinical counseling practices.
- Proven experience in providing mental health counseling to individuals, couples, and families.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including evenings and weekends, based on client needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Specialized training or certification in Christian counseling or pastoral counseling.
- Experience with crisis intervention and trauma-informed care.
- Multilingual abilities are a plus.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $75.00 - $100.00 per hour
