Looking for a working Line/Prep Cook responsible for both service and prep (depending on what's needed that day), a rockstar on the line or someone looking to grow their skills with us! You'll only be working with fresh local ingredients, and we believe in only making things from scratch that you would be proud to call your own! Should be able to work as part of a team, good at planning ahead, maintaining and setting up a clean line and kitchen. Hours vary. Salary commensurate with capabilities and experience. Responsibilities
- Help in the preparation and production of all food
- Help the kitchen team operate in a timely manner that meets River Restaurant Group's standards of quality
- Work together effectively with other staff
- Keep the line stocked appropriately. Able to plan ahead.
- Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers
Skills
- Proven experience as a seasoned Line Cook would be great, but we are also glad to have someone willing to learn and grow with us
- Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, sanitation and procedures
- Motivated for success and ability to take initiative as needed
- Excellent record of working together with other cooks and working as a team player
Qualifications
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food service
- Experience in restaurant and kitchen settings
- Knowledge of sanitation practices in a food service environment
- Culinary experience with a focus on meal preparation
- Proficiency in menu planning and catering
- Ability to handle food safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with dietary department operations and dietary aide responsibilities
- Excellent knife skills and attention to detail in food handling
- Prior experience in the food industry, particularly in a culinary role
