Product Owner
What does a successful Product Owner do at Fiserv?
As a Product Owner you will be a core part of the Product Management function working directly with delivery teams and other business units to ensure that business and operational goals are met. You will provide leadership to delivery teams, and other stakeholder groups such as Professional Services, Commercialization and Operations to deliver innovative cross vertical solutions to market. You are accountable for ensuring that what is built delivers excellent value to Fiserv and our customers.
What you will do:
1. Product Ownership (40%)

You will have a solid understanding of accounts payables and receivables, audit & regulatory compliance, event streams, REST APIs and user experience are critical to success in this role.

You will ensure that the backlog reflects the right balance between building the right thing (features needed by customers or operational internal teams), building it right (quality) and on time (speed to market)
2. Delivery (25%)

You will influence delivery teams to make a major impact on delivery of the overall Bill Payment Solutions Roadmap

You will ensure all the market, technical and operational requirements to adequately deliver a release are covered in the backlog
3. Decision-making and Problem Solving (15%)

You will make critical prioritization decisions that impact the level and timing of work completion

You Will work with others on a day-to-day basis to help make decisions on what is in scope and provide input into functional decisions
4. Stakeholder Management and Collaboration (20%)
-
You will build strong relationships with the stakeholders across the business; ensure that you understand their role, the needs of their areas, and their requirements throughout the project

You will ensure Product and technical leadership is aware of key issues and provide them with the right information and recommendations that lead to extraordinary results.
What you will need to have:
- Bachelor’s Degree – Relevant work experience may be substituted for degree requirement

Minimum 2 years of Product Owner or similar experience in financial services or software industry, in an Agile environment.

Minimum 2 years' experience writing epics and features with clear acceptance criteria
-
Minimum 2 years' experience writing and presenting Market Requirements Documents
-
Minimum 2 years' experience identifying dependencies, and working with cross functional teams to sequence and manage dependencies within one or multiple release cycles
-
Minimum 2 years' experience prioritizing and maintaining a product backlog using enterprise Agile software
-
Minimum 2 years' Project Management experience – identifying and managing risks and issues
-
Minimum 2 years' experience successfully collaborating with distributed teams across the US and internationally

Travel required: Up to 25% travel
