The Program Manager is part of the HRSA SANE: ENPs CARE project and other faculty scholar projects at the Vanderbilt School of Nursing and is a key individual contributor responsible for the program management. This position will support the overall work of the program and will report directly to the Program Director. This position is for 40 hours/week.
Our research mission is to transform the discipline of nursing through research, practice and partnerships and to contribute to the social advancement and health of Tennessee, the nation, and the world. Vanderbilt School of Nursing (VUSN) supports the development of innovative research programs within VUSN that align strategically with other Vanderbilt University initiatives and that address national priorities to promote and protect health. The Center for Research Development and Scholarship supports many activities related to pre-award and post-award, federal, and non-federal grant submission and other scholarship activities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Program Management
- Manage logistical details for program projects, planning and coordinating project events
- Coordinate with internal departments and external partners to facilitate program activities.
- Collaborate with community partners to develop and execute programs.
- Report and submit information to university and outside agencies as needed.
- Assist with grant updates, submissions, and progress reports.
- Facilitate group meetings as needed, providing education and support.
- Deliver presentations to groups and organizations related to program projects.
- Develop and maintain project websites
- Coordinate quarterly meetings of the Internal and External Advisory Committees
- Attend mandatory monthly and quarterly calls with HRSA (funding agency)
- Work independently and as part of a team, ensuring task tracking and follow-up.
Program Evaluation
- Research evaluation tools appropriate for specific projects to use
- Develop project and data tracking tools
- Administer surveys, collect and share results, and maintain data for grant funders using REDCap Surveys Networking
- Represent HRSA SANE: ENPs CARE team at community partner executive meetings
- Network with geriatric community to build partnership and build sustainability
- Attend conferences, seminars, symposiums, and classes
- Gain knowledge of all other HRSA SANE: ENPs CARE project and connect collaborators
Financial Process
- Work with post-award team and Assistant Director to understand budget and invoice submission requirement• Monitor costs related to annual conferences
- Prepare documentation and obtain proper authorization for post-award grant requests such as extensions and leaves of absence
- Administering payments to partner sites.
- Oversee procurement of supplies for program events, ensuring compliance with financial policies.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education is required.
- A Master’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education is preferred. •
- At least 1-2 years of full-time experience is necessary.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills is necessary.
- Demonstrated experience with completing projects from inception to implementation is preferred.
- Microsoft Office 365 and REDCap experience is preferred.
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community is preferred.
- Ability to develop and coordinate multiple projects.
