We are looking to add new talent to our growing team! We are currently seeking an entry level Staff Engineer to work in a technical support role with highly skilled professionals on diverse project teams in a dynamic environment. We offer new engineers the opportunity to work on challenging environmental services projects for a wide range of clients. This position entails frequent travel to job sites and working outside of the office setting conducting site and subsurface characterization for environmental projects and monitoring contractor's environmental-related activities during construction. This is a full-time position located in our Phoenix, AZ office.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will:

Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety by performing all work in accordance with client health and safety plans.

Conduct data collection, synthesis, and analysis using industry standard procedures.

Prepare documentation of subcontractor work activities, including daily field reports and tracking spreadsheets.

Conduct due diligence assessments and environmental compliance audits.

Conduct onsite environmental investigation duties related to soil, groundwater, ambient air, and vapor intrusion.

Prepare environmental permit applications/plans for air quality, stormwater, spill control (SPCC), land reclamation, aquifer protection, and industrial discharge.

Assist in the operation and maintenance of groundwater remediation systems.

Assist in studies that evaluate the technical and economic feasibility of remedial alternatives to site cleanup.

Draft technical sections of project communications and reports.

Assist with the development of technical scopes of work and cost estimating on small to medium-sized project opportunities.

Prepare bid packages and solicit bids from subcontractors and vendors.

Proactively manage tasks to ensure projects are delivered on scheduleand within budget, and client-agreed quality standards.

Perform and participate in constructability reviews.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.

Master’s degree in Civil/ /Environmental/Chemical Engineering is a plus.

0 to 2 years of related engineering experience.

Engineer-In-Training certification strongly preferred.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Computer Skills – Strong computer literacy skills including proficiency in all MS Office software.

Ability and interest in obtaining professional engineering registration.

Ability to travel to temporary assignments across the U.S.

Must possess a valid driver's license.

Must have a reliable form of transportation to travel to job sites and the office.

OSHA 40-hr. HAZWOPER training preferred but not required.
