The Local Retail Marketing Manager position requires multi-department interaction, working closely with Regional Field Consultants, Retail Ops, and the Marketing Department. The LM Manager operates as a support position for our retail stores, by developing and executing specific marketing strategies to drive business, traffic, growth and brand awareness.
This role requires 60%+ of travel throughout the United States.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office
- Understanding of Operating & Point of Sale Systems
- Minimum 3 years retail marketing and merchandising experience
- Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
- Basic Woodworking or DYI knowledge

Essential Functions:
Provide strategic direction and management of local marketing programs, initiatives, events, within a designated market, incorporating our corporate marketing strategies, values, business philosophies and goals.
- Develop and execute store specific marketing plans to targeted stores that will maximize traffic, revenue and growth based on an analysis of:
- Customer traffic trends
- Current Merchandising
- Email & social media activity
- Store events and activities
- Category positioning – Local vs Region
- TAB/Print mailing history
- Customer Row Count trends
- Local Marketing Spend
Utilizing the aforementioned analysis criteria, the Local Marketing Manager will provide targeted stores with the following deliverables:
- Recommended Email & Social Media cadence
- Recommended Tab/Catalog distribution
- Remerchandising recommendations
- Local market event recommendations
- Customer nurturing/engagement plans
- Ensure all initiatives and direction is compliant in providing a safe work environment
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure local marketing efforts align with the overall company brand and promotional strategy and tactics
- Collaborate with internal teams, utilizing corporate marketing resources, materials, collateral and vendor partnerships to support local marketing initiatives
