JOB PURPOSE:
The individual in this role possesses deep knowledge of the Amtelco platform and can troubleshoot any issues that arise. The Programmer provides company-wide support via email, phone, or in person for various programming scenarios. Responsibilities include setting up new client accounts with meticulous attention to detail and adhering to each client's specific instructions. Problem-solving and critical thinking are essential for this position due to the unique interactions encountered. This is a hybrid position, requiring two days per week in our Butler, NJ office for employees residing within a 30-mile radius. The Programmer reports directly to the CEO.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Company-Wide Support:
- Respond to requests from shift managers or account managers regarding programming issues, including programming errors, script adjustments, or updates.
- Analyze existing program logic to identify causes of malfunctions and modify logic to eliminate issues or improve operational efficiency.
- Perform diagnostic testing on programs, including detecting syntax or logic errors.
- Create new schedules and program accounts to follow these schedules accurately.
- Review and update all customer account information in the Amtelco platform to ensure accuracy.
- Communicate effectively and work closely with other departments and senior management to maintain a professional environment for colleagues and clients.
New Accounts Set-Up:
- Collaborate closely with the account manager to accurately set up new client accounts in Amtelco by specified deadlines.
- Follow detailed instructions to ensure flawless system operation, meeting identified client needs.
- Program new accounts to pull the correct schedule based on values in the script.
- Troubleshoot and resolve all issues that arise during the set-up process.
Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required.
- Minimum 3-5 years of programming experience.
- Experience with Amtelco Platform.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Products, able to learn/ pick up other tangent systems.
- Thorough understanding of design, testing, and modification of programs and applications.
