Broaddus & Associates is seeking a MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) Project Manager to manage the MEP engineering aspects of a large-scale healthcare facility expansion project (+$500M) in the local Houston, Texas market. Candidates should have experience that includes as many of the following as possible:
- in a and commissioning is essential.
- in complex Health Care demolition and phased relocation projects is strongly desired.
- working closely and effectively with the Owner’s end users, the design firms (AE team), the General Contractor / Subs, a medical equipment planning firm, an activation planning firm, and various medical equipment providers.
- project management (project leadership) skills associated with administering contracts, planning meetings, conducting meetings, resolving issues, planning, procurement, installation, and start-up of medical and non-medical equipment, and driving time and quality-based construction results.
- a team player mentality and a cooperative attitude in a fast-paced environment with an integrated Owner’s representative team. Our new and renovation projects are very complex, require definitive schedules to be maintained, and require a collaborative approach to issue resolution and work progress.
- Experience as an Owner’s Representative is strongly desired. However, relevant experience with one or more of the following is also acceptable: 1) design firms (AE), 2) construction firms, 3) medical equipment planning firms, 4) direct employee with a hospital / healthcare entity (i.e., biomedical engineering, clinical engineering, etc), or 5) activation management companies working in a healthcare environment.
