The Quality Control (Raw Materials/Components) Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the execution of the QC Technician roles by providing training, guidance, leadership, problem solving and organizing the unit’s workflows. Communicate expectations, ensure timely and effective execution of day-to-day tasks to meet KPIs and report on appropriate Quality metrics to Quality management. They will work cross-functionally with Production, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Purchasing and to ensure that items are being released in a timely fashion. The QC RM/Comp. Supervisor must be detail oriented, demonstrate situational awareness, and the ability to ensure that the quality requirements are fulfilled, as required.
Responsibilities and Essential Duties
- Communicate organizational needs clearly to ensure that team meets performance expectations and deadlines.
- Ensure team follows safety protocols and laid down standards.
- Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive/developmental feedback and coaching.
- Track and monitor department KPIs to ensure that items are being released in a timely manner.
- Provide guidance, leadership, and problem solving for the QC Technician positions.
- Ensure safety protocols and laid down standards are followed.
- Manage the reciprocal relationship between employees and management and effectively collaborate and communicate with upper management and Operations.
- Have a full understanding for the QC Technician job responsibilities.
- Organize the unit’s workflows and ensure employees understand their duties and/or delegated tasks.
- Document all results and report all non-conformances to specifications or standards.
- Generate GMP and GDP-compliant records as required by SOPs, methods, or regulations.
- Train new hires, identify training gaps and developmental needs of QC Technicians as well as provide feedback regarding team performance and training gaps.
- Help resolve employee issues and disputes.
- Support the company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans.
- Own and lead special projects as assigned.
- Perform all other assigned duties as required by Quality Management.
