Overview:
We are currently seeking a full-time CNC Mill Programmer who uses knowledge of machine tools including mills, grinders, and lathes, and the working components of various plastics to produce precision parts for customer supplied drawings and specifications.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities: to include, but are not limited to:
- Use Mastercam to create/edit programs
- Set up and operate CNC mill to perform precision machining operations with little to no assistance
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with machining performance and product quality
- Follow procedures and processes designated in the job traveler
- Read and interpret engineering blueprints and CAD models
- Design, create and establish appropriate work holding/fixtures
- Create and follow set-up sheets for required machining process
- Install and align fixtures required to perform machining operations
- Start and monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
- Verify and maintain conformance of work piece to specifications using calibrated measuring tools
- Inspect and record measurements to appropriate inspection level
- Follow safety procedures and policies to maintain a safe work environment
- Maintain equipment in clean and operating condition
Required Skills / Experience / Education:
- 5+ years of CNC mill setup and machining experience required
- 5+ years CNC mill programming required (Mastercam preferred but not required)
- 3+ years multi-axis programming
- Experience in machining plastics/polymers is strongly preferred
- Must understand programming code, various machining techniques and tooling characteristics to produce machined parts that meet customer specifications.
- Requires knowledge of machine shop theory and procedures, shop mathematics, machinability of various materials
- Must be a self-starter, goal oriented, attentive to detail, able to work independently

Work Environment / Schedule:
The CNC Mill Programmer works primarily within climate controlled industrial buildings but may be required to work on some outdoor projects. Will spend most of the day on your feet and working with your hands. The standard work schedule is Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm with some flexibility.
