Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated School Nurse to join our team. The School Nurse will be responsible for providing healthcare services to students, promoting health education, and ensuring a safe and healthy school environment.
Duties:
- Provide direct healthcare services to students including first aid, medication administration, and emergency care
- Monitor and assess student health needs and develop healthcare plans as necessary
- Educate students, families, and staff on health-related topics
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and healthcare providers to promote a healthy school environment
- Maintain accurate health records for students
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate care
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing; RN license required
- Previous experience in pediatric or school nursing preferred
- Knowledge of neonatal ventilators and medication administration
- Ability to provide patient care following established protocols
- Familiarity with workers' compensation laws related to school settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience in travel nursing or health coaching
- Proficiency in phlebotomy and inhalation therapies
- Knowledge of internal medicine and pain management
